Lamine Yamal mocks Mario Lemina with 'He know me now?' after Barcelona's 4-1 Galatasaray win
Barcelona star's Instagram jab caps dominant Champions League night in Istanbul
Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal enjoyed himself on Tuesday night in the Champions League, putting on a show in a 4-1 win over Galatasaray at RAMS Park in Turkey.

The 19-year-old had a point to prove. Ahead of the match, old comments from Galatasaray's Mario Lemina resurfaced in which the midfielder was asked to pick between team-mate Leroy Sane and Yamal, and replied: “Who is Lamine Yamal? I don't know him. I know Sane.”
Yamal has not forgotten. The Barcelona star responded with a post on Instagram, leading a carousel of pictures with an image of him holding the MVP award and the message: “He know me now?”
It was a pointed retort to Lemina's pre-match dismissal — and one that followed a commanding individual display. Prior coverage from October 14 noted that Yamal supplied two assists in quick succession after the break in the Champions League League Phase clash, setting up Fermín López and Anthony Gordon, with João Cancelo and Karim Adeyemi also getting on the scoresheet in the turnaround after Galatasaray had led early.
Defender Eric Garcia also took aim at Lemina after the game, telling CBS Sports: “Yamal doesn't need extra motivation and sometimes people give a little bit too much to him. They speak about him, they say they don't know him, then the fans they start. And then you know he shows on the pitch how good he is.”
When asked who he was referring to, Garcia laughed and said: “He knows, he will know!”
The result keeps Barcelona firmly in the hunt in the Champions League League Phase, with Yamal continuing a prolific campaign that had seen him register 7 goals and 5 assists in 8 LaLiga appearances in 2026-27, according to a FotMob snapshot taken on October 13.
