Arnau Tenas admits Barcelona return would feel like coming home
Tenas leaves door open to Barcelona homecoming
Arnau Tenas has admitted that a return to Barcelona would be a dream, even as he focuses on his current role with Mallorca.
“If I said I wouldn’t want to return to Barça, I’d be lying; it would be like coming home,” the former Barcelona Atlètic goalkeeper said in a new interview on Catalan radio. He added that he is “very happy in Mallorca” and wants to help the club reach the First Division.

Tenas rejected the idea that playing in the second division represents a setback. “People have a lot of prejudices, but for me, it’s not a step backward—it’s a huge step forward,” he said. The goalkeeper has also played for Paris Saint-Germain and Villarreal, and the report says he has established himself as a standout at Mallorca, recording six clean sheets in eight starts.
Warm words for Raphinha
The goalkeeper shared Barcelona’s youth ranks with players including Gavi, Pau Cubarsí, Xavi Espart and Eric Garcia. He also spent time alongside Kylian Mbappé at PSG, describing him as “a very good teammate, personable, and trained well.”
Tenas reserved special praise for Raphinha, saying he was “really happy” for the Brazilian and referring to the challenges he had faced away from public view. “What is he doing this season so far? What’s gotten into him? It’s incredible. He’s a beast,” Tenas said.
His comments follow recent remarks from fellow former Barcelona goalkeeper Diego Kochen, who has spoken of his own desire to return to the club. For now, Tenas says his priority is Mallorca’s push toward the top flight.
