Bayern face four-player concern before Freiburg trip

Kimmich and Neuer miss Friday session

Bayern Munich could be without four key players for Sunday’s Bundesliga match away to SC Freiburg after Joshua Kimmich and Manuel Neuer missed training on Friday.

According to Bild, Kimmich is taking time away following a bereavement in his close family. Neuer trained individually and received further treatment on the foot injury that had kept him out of the matches against Viking FK and RB Leipzig. He returned against Arsenal in midweek, but his status for the Freiburg game remains uncertain.

Díaz ruled out as Musiala works toward return

Luis Díaz is unavailable with the muscle fibre tear announced on Thursday. Jamal Musiala is also still working toward a return from the injury he sustained during the international break.

The absences leave Bayern with several fitness and availability questions to resolve before their trip to Freiburg on Sunday.
