Ebrima Tunkara called up to Barcelona first-team training ahead of El Clasico
Flick turns to youth as Olmo injury and defensive crisis deepen
Barcelona boss Hansi Flick has called up exciting youngster Ebrima Tunkara to first-team training on Friday, after losing Dani Olmo to injury for a month. Tunkara and Orian Goren were both summoned as the team continued preparations for Sunday's Clasico against Real Madrid at Camp Nou in La Liga.

Defensive injury problems continue
Young defender Alex Campos is also with the first team, a sign of Barcelona's continued injury problems at the back. Eric Garcia and Andreas Christensen remain sidelined, while Jules Kounde is still not back in training due to a sprained ankle and is also expected to miss the match.
A breakthrough season beckons for Tunkara
Tunkara missed the start of the season through injury but has been back in action for Barca Atletic since returning to fitness. The teenager has long been tipped to break into the first team and will be hoping he can impress Flick and earn opportunities this season.
Earlier in the month, Tunkara came off the bench on his comeback from an ankle injury and set up Juan Ybarra's stoppage-time winner as Barcelona Atletic beat SD Logrones 1-0, a result reported on 12 October 2026.
