Barcelona’s Eric Garcia leaves Spain camp as Raphinha closes in on club legends
Eric Garcia withdrawn from Spain squad
Barcelona defender Eric Garcia has left Spain’s training camp after tests confirmed discomfort in his left knee. The Spanish federation said the decision was taken because of the proximity of the upcoming international matches, with the player’s health and injury prevention the priority.
Le Normand has replaced Eric Garcia in the squad. Barcelona will hope the withdrawal proves precautionary and that Garcia can return to club action without a lengthy absence.

Adeyemi returns after Germany setback
Karim Adeyemi is set to return from Germany duty after making two starts without scoring. Germany lost 1-0 at home to Greece, despite controlling much of the match, leaving the team in a difficult position after two games under coach Jürgen Klopp.
Adeyemi was among Germany’s brighter performers against Greece but will now make way for the next 22-man squad in Klopp’s new-look project.
Raphinha continues his climb
Raphinha has scored 89 goals for Barcelona and is already among the club’s top 30 all-time goalscorers. The Brazilian is now within reach of several Barcelona legends as he continues to build his place in the club’s scoring history.
Portugal maintain perfect record
Portugal defeated Norway 2-1 in an entertaining match. João Félix put the visitors ahead before Erling Haaland equalised six minutes after half-time. Gonçalo Ramos restored Portugal’s lead three minutes later after an error by Ørjan Nyland, and Portugal held on for another victory.
