Barcelona retain Gamper at home

FC Barcelona closed the curtain on its pre-season with a 2-1 win over Al Ahly in the 61st edition of the Festa del Gamper Estrella Damm at Spotify Camp Nou. The Blaugrana made the trophy stay home thanks to goals from Abdelkarim and Raphinha, with Raphinha named Star Player of the 2026 Gamper after having a hand in both goals for Barça.

Squad presentation and Camp Nou ovations

Spotify Camp Nou came alive for the presentation of the 2026/27 Barça squad ahead of the Gamper. The new home hosted its first Gamper with plenty of huge ovations, especially for Rodri. Coach Hansi Flick and Raphinha, acting as captain, addressed the Culers before kick-off. Flick summed up the evening: “Together we are stronger”.

Reactions after the win

Defender Eric Garcia, Alejandro Balde and Hansi Flick looked back on the Gamper win over Al Ahly. Eric said: “The new signings will help us with our objectives”.

The victory provides a positive finish to Barcelona’s pre-season build-up ahead of the domestic campaign.
