Harry Kane breaks Bundesliga century record in Bayern’s 7-0 rout
Kane reaches 100 Bundesliga goals faster than anyone before him
Harry Kane broke a 49-year-old Bundesliga record on Friday, becoming the fastest player to score 100 goals in the German top flight. The Bayern Munich striker reached the landmark in his 98th league appearance for the club during Bayern’s emphatic 7-0 victory over Union Berlin.

The previous record had stood since 1977, when Cologne’s Dieter Müller required 129 matches to reach 100 Bundesliga goals. Kane, scoring at better than a goal per game since joining Bayern in 2023, had been closing in on the mark for some time.
He took the record with a 39th-minute penalty before adding his 101st Bundesliga goal early in the second half, heading in a cross from Michael Olise. The result moved Bayern to the top of the table ahead of the rest of the weekend’s fixtures.
A landmark night for Bayern’s attack
Kane’s achievement overshadowed a remarkable attacking display from his teammates. Olise scored his first hat-trick for Bayern, while Jamal Musiala added a goal of outstanding quality in a performance that underlined the champions’ strength.
Since arriving in Munich, Kane has scored 152 goals in 154 appearances in all competitions, including 61 goals in 51 matches last season.
“I’m very proud to have now scored 100 and 101 Bundesliga goals. I haven’t been around that long. I’ve loved every second of it,” Kane told Sky Germany.
Kane also credited the players around him, naming Olise, Luis Díaz and Musiala as key sources of chances. “I just want to thank the team, the club, the coach, and the staff – everyone who has helped me achieve this,” he said. “Let’s keep going like this. I can only say that I’m enjoying every minute of it. Just like today.”
