Barcelona are reportedly weighing up a late move for RB Leipzig defender Castello Lukeba as the summer transfer window nears its close, according to journalist Ekrem Konur.

The Catalan giants have already parted ways with centre-back Ronald Araujo this summer, and there remain lingering whispers that Jules Kounde could also depart the club amid reported interest from Arsenal. With defensive depth becoming a growing concern, Barcelona have reportedly enquired about the availability of the 23-year-old French defender.

According to the report, both sporting director Deco and head coach Hansi Flick are admirers of Lukeba, who has been described as a player with significant potential and a bright future ahead of him.
