According to ESPN, the Catalan giants have scheduled a meeting with midfielder Marc Bernal in the coming days, with the intention of tabling an improved contract offer to the 19-year-old.

The move comes as Bernal's immediate future in Catalunya's capital has been thrown back into doubt over recent days. With the expected arrival of Manchester City star Rodri, the young Spaniard is set to tumble down the pecking order in Hansi Flick's engine room ranks for the coming season.
