Nuno laments West Ham wasted chances as Bowen penalty miss costs top spot
West Ham were held to a 1-1 draw by QPR at London Stadium after Jarrod Bowen missed a late penalty and a follow-up header was tipped onto the post. The result denies Nuno Espirito Santo’s side the chance to leapfrog Swansea City at the top of the Championship.
Pierce Charles double save denies Jarrod Bowen as West Ham held 1-1 by QPR
West Ham United missed the chance to go top of the Sky Bet Championship after being held to a 1-1 draw by Queens Park Rangers at the London Stadium on Friday night. Pierce Charles saved Jarrod Bowen's 91st-minute penalty and tipped Arne Engels' rebound onto the crossbar. Bowen had earlier cancelled out Nicolas Madsen's controversial first-half spot-kick, but the Hammers were also on the wrong end of a penalty decision against Tomas Soucek that no VAR could overturn.
