Juventus name 20-man squad for Celta Vigo with Zeki Celik fit to travel
Spalletti takes Celik to Spain as Juventus chase Europa League momentum
Juventus have named a 20-man squad for Thursday's Europa League Round 2 trip to Celta Vigo, with defender Zeki Celik included despite training separately from the group earlier this morning.
The Turkey international was seen receiving specific tactical instructions from coach Luciano Spalletti during the first 15 minutes open to the media, according to Tuttosport, before linking up with the rest of the squad for the journey to Spain.
Juventus arrive in Vigo seeking to build on a commanding start to their continental campaign. The Bianconeri won the competition's opener in September, thrashing Dutch side NEC 5-0 at the Allianz Stadium.
Boga still absent but close to return
Jeremie Boga also trained separately initially but later rejoined his teammates for a training match. He remains unavailable for the Celta Vigo clash, though the club is confident he will return to action soon.
A depleted travelling party
Several regulars are missing. Kenan Yildiz, Khephren Thuram and captain Manuel Locatelli are all absent, while Jeff Ekhator and Kamil Grabara are sidelined through injury. Edon Zhegrova, like Arkadiusz Milik and Daniele Rugani, is not part of Juventus' UEFA list.
The injury crisis has stretched Spalletti's resources throughout the autumn. Grabara, brought in over the summer, underwent successful ACL surgery on 24 September 2026 and faces a seven-month lay-off after a debut injury, prompting a goalkeeping reshuffle that saw Guglielmo Vicario arrive on loan from Tottenham. The depletion has been a recurring theme: as reported on 14 October 2026, Spalletti was already managing a congested fixture list with a thin squad, having won only one of Juventus' last four Serie A fixtures at that stage.
