Juventus confirm Nico Gonzalez and Celik injuries after Rennes draw
Juventus confirm muscular injuries to Nico Gonzalez and Celik
Juventus have confirmed that Nico Gonzalez and Zeki Celik are both set for spells on the sidelines after suffering muscular injuries during Thursday evening's 2-2 draw against Rennes in the Europa League.

Celik and Gonzalez both injured
Celik opened the scoring after five minutes, before Juventus fell 2-1 behind and fought back for a 2-2 draw. The Turkish full-back has picked up a low-grade strain to his left hamstring, the club confirmed. Nico Gonzalez has also suffered a strain to the soleus in his right leg. Both have started their respective rehabilitation programmes.
Spalletti without key options
It is another headache for head coach Luciano Spalletti, who has already been without Kenan Yildiz, Khephren Thuram and Manuel Locatelli for most of the 2026-27 season. Francisco Conceicao is also recovering from a dislocated shoulder, while Jeff Ekhator and Kamil Grabara are also out.
The injuries leave the Bianconeri particularly short on attacking options ahead of their Serie A trip to Lecce on Sunday evening.
