Roma director Tony D'Amico confirms club want Endrick loan with option to buy from Real Madrid

Roma Open Up On Endrick Pursuit

Roma sporting director Tony D'Amico has effectively confirmed the Serie A club's interest in Real Madrid forward Endrick, revealing the Giallorossi would want to sign the Brazilian on loan with an option to buy.

Speaking to Sky before Roma's match against Genoa, D'Amico addressed the club's January plans and outlined the policy that would shape any approach for the 20-year-old.

D'Amico Outlines Roma's Loan Policy

D'Amico made clear that Roma's preference is to bring in strong players while retaining the ability to keep them beyond the end of the season.

"Our policy is to sign strong players. Then, when you buy a player on loan, there are various options to include. As Roma, we want to have the option, at the end of the season, to be able to keep whoever we bring in on loan. That's our approach."

In Endrick's case, that would mean a temporary move from the Spanish capital paired with an option to buy — a structure Roma's sporting director has now confirmed aligns with the club's thinking.

Timing Follows A Statement Display In Rome

The comments come after Endrick impressed against Roma earlier in the week, helping Real Madrid secure a spectacular 4-3 win in the Italian capital in the Champions League.

That performance has only intensified the scrutiny on Endrick's role in Madrid, with the young forward's minutes at the Santiago Bernabéu under continued review.

Player's Decision And Milan Rivalry Cloud The Deal

For now, there is little guarantee that Endrick would ask for a transfer, and there are few signs that Real Madrid would grant his exit. More than that, AC Milan are also interested, which could complicate matters for Roma.

The next few weeks are expected to be key, but regardless of the level of interest from the Italian capital, the deal will not be easy to iron out.

Where The Race Stands

Roma have been persistently linked with Endrick in recent weeks. Earlier reporting from La Gazzetta dello Sport, published on 10 October, said AC Milan believed they were frontrunners for a loan deal for the Brazilian — a report that predates the Roma match and did not reflect any confirmed move.

Subsequent coverage from 16 October noted that a Roma loan request for Endrick had been rejected, following the striker's Champions League equaliser, underscoring just how difficult a January deal may prove to be.
