Aaronson commits to Leeds with new three-year deal as Rodon and Bogle also tie down futures
Leeds United's impressive summer of business took another step forward on Thursday as Brenden Aaronson put pen to paper on a new three-year contract at Elland Road.

The 25-year-old had a single year remaining on his previous deal but has chosen to remain at the club following an impressive 2025-26 campaign under head coach Daniel Farke. Aaronson becomes the third Leeds player this week to sign fresh terms ahead of their Premier League opener against Nottingham Forest, joining Joe Rodon and Jayden Bogle in committing his future.
A club man through and through
Across his four years at Leeds, Aaronson has made 129 appearances in all competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing 10 assists. He spent the 2023-24 season on loan in the Bundesliga with Union Berlin before returning to help the Whites win the Championship and secure promotion to the Premier League.
Last season he was Leeds' most-used player, featuring 42 times in all competitions and registering nine goal involvements — four goals and five assists. Only Anton Stach (66) created more chances for Farke's side than Aaronson (37).
'It was an easy decision'
Aaronson was unequivocal about his desire to stay, describing the choice as straightforward.
“It's a dream come true being at this club and being a part of this project. It's so ambitious. It's a beautiful club and I love being here.
“There was no doubt in my mind. I think it was easy for me to make this decision, and I am so excited about what the future has in store.”
Part of a busy window
Aaronson's renewal is another strong piece of business for Leeds, who have already added Harry Wilson, Nico Elvedi, Tarik Muharemovic and James Trafford to their squad this summer.
Attention now turns to Saturday's season opener at the City Ground. It is a venue where Leeds have historically struggled — Forest have won their last four home league games against the Whites and are unbeaten in 14 top-flight meetings there (W7 D7). Leeds, however, have lost their opening fixture in just two of their last 18 top-flight seasons, against Liverpool in 2020-21 and Manchester United in 2021-22.
