Barcelona shortlist Aymeric Laporte, Castello Lukeba and Natan for defensive overhaul
Barcelona narrow central-defender search to three names
Barcelona have drawn up a three-man shortlist as they search for defensive reinforcements during the final weeks of the transfer window, according to reports from Sport cited by Get Spanish Football News.

The club’s need for a centre-back has become more pressing after Ronald Araújo reportedly chose a move to the Premier League with Liverpool. Barcelona are consequently assessing the market for a player capable of strengthening the heart of the backline.
The current order of preference reportedly begins with Aymeric Laporte of Athletic Club, followed by Castello Lukeba of RB Leipzig and Natan of Real Betis.
Barcelona’s sporting department, led by Deco, is now examining the feasibility of the three options as the Spanish champions seek to restore depth in defence. The report does not indicate that a deal has been agreed with any of the shortlisted players.
