Bologna wrap up deal for Darmian

Bologna have agreed a deal to sign former Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian on a free transfer, according to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano. The 36-year-old left Inter Milan at the end of last season and is now set to continue his long Serie A career with Bologna.

Inter eye Romano as Calhanoglu succession planning begins

Inter Milan are keen on Italy midfielder Alessandro Romano and might make a move for the 20-year-old if Turkey international Hakan Calhanoglu, 32, leaves the club at the end of his contract next summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. Romano is currently on loan at Cagliari from Roma.

Roma persist with Endrick interest

Roma missed out on a loan move for Real Madrid striker Endrick, 20, in the summer but remain interested in signing the Brazil international in January, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, keeping alive their pursuit of one of world football's most promising young forwards.

Together, the three stories underline how busy the January window could prove in Serie A, with Bologna already acting early while Inter and Roma weigh up moves that could reshape their midfields and attacks.
