Joao Cancelo hits back at critics after Barcelona's Champions League defeat to PSG

Cancelo fires back at his detractors

Joao Cancelo has sent a message to his critics following Tuesday's Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes, the first defeat of the season for Barcelona.

The Portugal international was not at his best in the game and came in for criticism after picking up an early booking. He found it tough going against the European champions as Barca slumped to defeat.

Cancelo has now taken to social media to respond, posting: "From the stands, everyone's an expert. I'd like to see them get into the game and handle the pressure."

Injury problems on the flanks

Cancelo is still expected to start again on Sunday when Barcelona face Real Madrid in La Liga, another major fixture. Hansi Flick is short of full-back options, with Eric Garcia and Jules Kounde both expected to miss out through injury. That means Cancelo and Xavi Espart are likely to continue on the flanks.
