Fabregas warns Como to stay switched on at Torino as Kean and Liberali ruled out

Como boss demands total concentration in Turin

Cesc Fabregas has warned Como they must stay locked in for the full 90 minutes when they visit an in-form Torino on Tuesday, admitting the relentless schedule is testing his young squad.

Speaking to the club's official channels ahead of the trip to the Olimpico Grande Torino — with quotes carried by TuttoMercatoWeb — the Spaniard stressed the danger posed by a side riding a three-game winning streak.

"Tomorrow against Torino will be a very important game, our fourth in the space of 10 days," Fabregas said. "We'll face a team that has won three in a row and will have plenty of enthusiasm."

Best start in club history

Como arrive in confident mood. Saturday's 2-0 victory over Sassuolo, sealed by a Tasos Douvikas double, lifted them to 17 points — their best ever start to a Serie A season — and followed the stunning 4-1 Champions League thrashing of Manchester United.

"We'll need to stay focused for all 90 minutes and manage every phase of the game as well as possible," Fabregas added. "I've seen the lads really switched on in these two days since the Sassuolo win, and we have to carry on like that."

Injury blows for Fabregas

The coach confirmed he has been unable to get Moise Kean or Mattia Liberali fit in time for the fixture. Jesús Rodríguez, Trevoh Chalobah and Assane Diao also remain unavailable.

In a boost, youngster Papaccioli has been called up from the Primavera, while Nico Paz returns to contention after starting on the bench against Sassuolo.

Torino, meanwhile, have won their last three league games — beating Udinese, Parma and Monza — to move on to 13 points, ensuring a stern test for Fabregas' high-flying side.
