Rodri urges Barcelona to stay composed after 4-1 Galatasaray win
Rodri says Barcelona must learn from ‘crazy’ spell in Istanbul
Rodri has urged Barcelona to show greater composure in European matches, even after they beat Galatasaray 4-1 in Tuesday’s Champions League game in Turkey.
Galatasaray took the lead and had a second goal ruled out for offside. Speaking to Cadena SER, Rodri said the opening stages offered a reminder that Barcelona must manage risk more carefully when opponents can counter quickly.
“Perhaps those ten somewhat crazy minutes we experienced when we conceded the goal” were a lesson, Rodri said, adding that the team needed “a little more composure.”

“If you lose possession, they counter-attack quickly,” he said, suggesting Barcelona could have attacked more patiently. He stressed that the team must be ready for different situations, whether they score or not, and warned that Champions League matches will not always unfold in their favour.
Rodri also praised Barcelona’s response after the setback, pointing to the character they showed as goals arrived in the second half. The club’s next Champions League opponent is defending champion Paris Saint-Germain. Before that fixture, Barcelona travel to face Real Betis in La Liga.
