Barcelona sporting director Deco has publicly shown his support for Ronald Araújo following the defender's first appearance for loan club Liverpool.

The Uruguayan international completed an unexpected loan switch away from Catalonia earlier this month in search of regular playing time. Araújo finalised terms on a temporary stay at Anfield, making his unofficial debut in Liverpool's recent friendly clash against Serie A side Como on Sunday.

Following his first outing in Liverpool red, Araújo took to social media to share his thoughts with supporters. Among the prominent figures reacting to the post was Barcelona transfer chief Deco, who sent a message of encouragement to the on-loan centre-back.

Deco responded in the comments section on Instagram, simply writing: "Grande", alongside a series of applause emojis to celebrate Araújo's latest career milestone.

Araújo's temporary move allows him to secure vital first-team minutes at Liverpool while remaining contracted to Barcelona long-term.
