Barça probe Porro availability as Koundé exit fears grow

La Liga champions Barcelona have touched base with the agents of Tottenham Hotspur star Pedro Porro to gather information on the likely requirements to strike a deal for the right-back.

As things stand, Barcelona are not actively hunting for reinforcements at right-back. Hansi Flick considers the position well stocked with Eric García, Jules Koundé, youngster Xavi Espart and the likely returning João Cancelo.

According to a report from Diario Sport citing Jijantes:

‘The Blaugrana club contacted Pedro Porro’s entourage in recent days to find out the situation of the Tottenham full-back and the conditions that could occur in a hypothetical operation.’

Porro’s profile has been boosted by his recent international form. Just this summer he formed a brilliant right-wing partnership with Barcelona standout Lamine Yamal in Spain’s triumphant World Cup run, a development that has not gone unnoticed behind the scenes at Spotify Camp Nou.
