Crystal Palace stun Forest with three-goal comeback to spoil Glasner’s return
11 October 2026
Crystal Palace turned Oliver Glasner’s Selhurst Park return into a 3-1 defeat for Nottingham Forest, recovering from an early setback with three goals across the first and second halves.
Forest went ahead in the third minute when Dan Ndoye seized on Anan Khalaili’s attempted header back to his goalkeeper and finished. The visitors continued to threaten, but Palace goalkeeper Walter Benítez kept his side in the contest with a series of saves, including stops against Ndoye, Liam Delap and Chris Wood.

Daichi Kamada brought Palace level in the 41st minute, scoring his first Premier League goal after the ball broke to him inside the area. Jefferson Lerma then headed the hosts in front in first-half stoppage time, completing a rapid change in momentum.
Yeremy Pino made it 3-1 in the 59th minute, reacting first after Matz Sels saved Jorgen Strand Larsen’s effort. The goal ended Pino’s run of 19 Premier League appearances without scoring. Palace held on to secure their first league win over Forest in 14 years.
Glasner’s return turns sour
Glasner was warmly applauded before kick-off in recognition of his achievements at Palace. As the home side took control, however, supporters turned to taunts, including chants of “Glasner, what’s the score?” and “Sacked in the morning!”
The result lifted Pierre Sage’s Palace to 12th in the Premier League table with seven points from six games. Forest remained 14th on five points.
Palace’s attacking display offered encouragement for Sage, with Kamada, Lerma and Pino all finding the net. The team’s ability to sustain that threat while improving a defence that has been vulnerable will be an important test in the weeks ahead.
