Brighton's scoring express ready to test champions Arsenal as Yalcouyé shines

Brighton host Arsenal on Saturday (3pm BST) with the league's top scorers — 13 goals from four matches — facing the champions on a run of four consecutive away games.

Manager Fabian Hürzeler attributed Brighton's stirring comeback at Old Trafford against Manchester United on Wednesday to being "well structured," and no player embodies that more than Malick Yalcouyé. The 20-year-old Ivorian joined the south coast club in 2024 after just a few months with IFK Gothenburg but had to wait until this season for his senior debut, following loans to Sturm Graz and Swansea.

With Jack Hinshelwood injured until after the international break, Yalcouyé has seized his chance in the No 10 role, scoring twice already in the Premier League. Mikel Arteta has been warned to be wary of the threat posed by the young Ivorian and his in-form teammates.
