Flick calls Yamal the world’s best after Barcelona’s 5-2 win
Yamal leads Barcelona past Betis
Lamine Yamal scored twice and supplied an assist as Barcelona defeated Real Betis 5-2, extending their perfect start to the season in all competitions. The teenager has now been directly involved in a goal in nine straight matches, with nine goals and 10 assists during that run, according to the report.

Flick: ‘Right now he is the best player in the world’
Barcelona coach Hansi Flick was emphatic in his assessment of Yamal after the performance. “When you see the first goal he scored, it's incredible; right now he is the best player in the world,” Flick said.
Flick added that he was pleased with the winger’s focus and commitment despite the demands placed on him. “Of course, he is under pressure; he is 19 years old and has played every game, but he is 100% focused and committed, and he is very good,” he said. “His performances have been incredible and his attitude, and that is how great players are.” Flick also said he had told Yamal he was “very proud” of his display.
Barcelona turn to PSG test
The victory made Barcelona the second LaLiga side to win its first nine matches of a season in all competitions, after Real Madrid did so in 1968-69. Flick, however, was already looking ahead to Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain and the need to manage recovery and minutes.
“We’ll see, we’ll look for 11 players,” Flick said, noting uncertainty over Eric Garcia and small problems for Jules Kounde. “We don’t know what will happen with Eric [Garcia], and [Jules] Kounde has small problems. We’ll have to see.”
