The board at La Liga champions Barcelona were recently contacted by their counterparts from German outfit RB Leipzig with a view to gathering information on the terms of a potential deal for midfielder Marc Casadó.

Casadó is widely expected to bring a close to his stint in Blaugrana colours before the summer is out. Pushed further down the engine room pecking order in Hansi Flick's squad following the recent arrival of Rodri, the 22-year-old Spanish international has been informed that his services are s longer required in Catalunya's capital.

Still held in high regard across the continent, Casadó has attracted attention from a host of clubs over the recent weeks, and last few days a new suitor have positioned themselves in the race for his signature. As per market insider Fabrizio Romano:

' RB Leipzig among clubs calling Barcelona in the last 48h for Marc Casadó exit conditions. There are also Turkish clubs keen on the midfielder who's gonna leave Barça soon.'
