FC Barcelona have reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain over the permanent transfer of forward Ferran Torres in a deal worth €50 million.

The Spanish international, who entered the final year of his contract at the Camp Nou, is set to complete a move to the French champions. The substantial cash injection from Torres' departure provides the Catalan club with vital financial flexibility in their ongoing negotiations with Manchester City for midfielder Rodri. City have held out for a significant valuation for the Ballon d'Or contender, who is also in the final year of his deal, and the incoming funds from Paris give Barcelona the necessary room to progress talks.
