Mano Menezes

Fresh off a round-of-16 World Cup exit, the United States opened the 2030 cycle with a 4-1 friendly rout of Peru in Orlando. Justin Ellis opened the scoring on his debut, Gianluca Lapadula equalised for Peru, but Malik Tillman's penalty, Julian Hall's debut strike and Sebastian Berhalter's late screamer sealed the win. Eleven players earned first caps, including 16-year-old Cavan Sullivan, the youngest US debutant in over two decades, while Tyler Adams captained the side for the first time under Mauricio Pochettino.
