Abdu Rozik Opens Up About Being Scammed, Childhood Bulling, and Financial Struggles

Abdu Rozik, who became a fan favorite during his stint on Bigg Boss 16, recently appeared on the House of Zen podcast to share a deeply personal account of his journey. Far from the glitzy image projected on social media, Rozik revealed a life marked by financial instability, betrayal, and a challenging childhood.

Betrayed by the Industry

Despite his rising fame, Rozik claimed that he was severely scammed by a professional agency he worked with for several years. He revealed that while the agency helped him grow, they allegedly misappropriated his earnings from various shows and projects.

“I worked for three or four years with them. They helped me grow, but when it came to money from shows and projects, I got nothing. They fully scammed me very badly and took everything,” Rozik stated.

He further highlighted the disconnect between public perception and his actual financial status, noting that many assume he is a millionaire. “People think, ‘Oh my God, Abdu is a millionaire.’ But they don’t know what I’m carrying behind the scenes,” he shared, adding that he has yet to buy a house or even a car.

Abdu Rozik sharing his experiences

Overcoming Childhood Trauma and Bullying

Growing up in a poor family in the mountains, Rozik faced immense physical and emotional challenges. Due to a growth hormone condition, he was frequently mocked by his peers. He recalled instances where classmates laughed at him, claiming he was too small to even carry schoolbooks.

“They told me, ‘What do you think you’re going to become? You’ll never be anything. You’ll just be a farmer,’” he recalled. Reflecting on these experiences, he emphasized that true strength comes from the mind rather than the body: “People think strength is about the body. No. The mind needs to be strong.”

The Burden of Medical Expenses

Rozik also touched upon the financial strain his medical condition placed on his family. He described the high cost of treatments that were out of reach for them at the time, such as a specific fish oil costing $300 and hormone injection treatments priced around $15,000.

Gratitude and Resilience

Despite the hardships, Rozik expressed immense pride in his ability to support seven family members. He also spoke warmly of Salman Khan, describing the superstar as a mentor and brother figure. “Salman Khan is like family to me. He’s like a brother... He’s like my teacher, and I learn from him,” he added.

Concluding his thoughts, Rozik expressed a simple wish for the industry: “I just want people to work honestly and not scam others.”
