Milan eye Tresoldi as Juventus weigh up two-striker option in Italian papers' round-up
Milan chase Tresoldi
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are pursuing Club Brugge striker Nicolò Tresoldi. The paper reports that Milan owner Gerry Cardinale wants the forward, who is also a Rossoneri fan. The Devils are targeting the player who scored a hat-trick against Inter at San Siro in the Champions League, and the pink paper says €53m is available to spend on the market.
Tresoldi's future international allegiance has also been debated since that night, with pundits Paolo Di Canio and Marco Bucciantini suggesting he is leaning towards Germany. The Brugge forward has said he will wait until after the Under-21 European Championship before deciding between Italy and Germany.
Juventus consider two strikers
Tuttosport says Juventus should build on the two strikers who scored in Vigo, where they beat Celta. Serena is quoted as saying: "They complement each other well. But you have to put balls into the box..." Luciano Spalletti is beginning to see two centre-forwards as an option, not just from the bench. The paper also highlights the work, including psychological work, on Cambiaso and the discovery of Sarr, as the coach builds on the positives.
Celik returns against Lazio tomorrow, while Tuttosport suggests Conceição's place is now at risk.
Inter, Roma and Napoli face nervy restarts
Inter, Roma and Napoli all return to action after Champions League defeats, amid anxiety, doubts and absences. Inter coach Chivu has lost Lautaro and Pavard, and will rely on 21-year-old Pio Esposito in Bologna. Gasperini is without Dybala and Malen against Genoa, so Castro leads the line for Roma, alongside 19-year-old Rodrigo Mora. Napoli adopt a new set-up for the trip to Venezia, while Allegri is hoping Lucca can deliver.
Raimondo continues scoring run
Frosinone striker Antonio Raimondo, 22, scored another hat-trick as Sassuolo were beaten. He now has seven goals this season, and his haul has made his case for an Italy call-up. Frosinone's 4-2 win on Friday was described as a "Frosinone fairytale".
Elsewhere, Torino celebrate the centenary of their historic Filadelfia ground today, with fans able to visit the courtyard from 9am to 8pm.
