Heartfelt YouTube conversation brings mother and son to tears

Archana Puran Singh’s younger son Ayushmaan Sethi has started his own YouTube channel and introduced himself to the audience. During one of his videos, Ayushmaan had a heartfelt conversation with his mother, with the two speaking about each other’s personalities, their relationship and what they mean to one another.

Archana describes Ayushmaan as an ideal, perfectionist son

While describing Ayushmaan, Archana said he is a very ideal son and rarely gets angry.

“You are a very ideal son. You get angry very rarely, which is a very good thing. But when you do get angry, it seems very irrational because we are so used to you not getting angry. So perhaps that is unfair to you; it is not your fault,” Archana said.

She added, “You are also a huge perfectionist. And you are an amazing cook. You make such wonderful food and you make it with so much love. You had that talent since childhood.”

Ayushmaan recalls feeling heard since childhood

Talking about his relationship with his mother, Ayushmaan recalled how close the two have been since his childhood.

“Our relationship has been very close since childhood. I think when I would come back from school every day, I would tell you about my day, that this happened, this happened and this happened. You would ask me about every detail, and I used to feel so heard. I used to feel like somebody actually cared about what happened in my day,” he said.

Ayushmaan then spoke about how proud he is of his mother and everything she has achieved over the years.

“I am the most proud of you because of what you have achieved. I don’t think I can even dream of achieving as much as you have. For the last 40-45 years, you have been the most amazing role model for so many people. You have worked so much on yourself, in films, on TV, and it is all for your family and for all of us. So, thank you,” Ayushmaan told her.

Father Parmeet Sethi weighs in on Ayushmaan’s traits

Parmeet said, “The mindset he has is that once he decides something, he completes it. So he is stubborn as well as focused. He is a very soft-hearted and intelligent person. Obviously, he is the class topper and all that. He is intelligent, honest and hardworking."

Parmeet then joked about his son’s sense of time: “He has no idea about time. I don’t think he has understood this concept since childhood, that if I have to be somewhere in an hour, I need to plan what I have to do to reach there. He thinks that one hour will automatically become ten minutes,” he said.

Ayushmaan praises his father’s transformation

Ayushmaan also spoke fondly about his father and the transformation he has witnessed in him over the past one-and-a-half to two years.

“One thing I want to say about my dad is that I am very proud of my dad because of the change I have seen in you over the last one-and-a-half to two years. The dad you see in the vlogs was not like this before. He was a very serious person who never laughed and never cracked jokes. Trust me, zero,” Ayushmaan said.

He explained that his father gradually developed a fun personality for the vlogs and became known as the “PJ master”.

“Over the last two years, the way you started doing the vlogs, as a character, you started thinking about what character you should play, and you became the PJ master,” he said.

Full-circle moment for Archana

After hearing her son speak about her, Archana became emotional.

“I’m not crying because you’re praising me. I’m just looking at you and thinking that this is a full-circle moment for me. Because we don’t talk about each other like this. We don’t discuss what you mean to me and what I mean to you,” she said.

Archana then added, “Because you have no idea what you mean to me. You just have no idea.”
