Women’s summer transfer window roundup tracks moves across Europe and beyond
Moves span Europe, the NWSL and international football
A summer transfer-window roundup covering the world’s six leading women’s leagues records a series of player movements, contract changes and one retirement across the domestic and international game.

Italian move and fresh opportunities
One defender has joined an Italian club on a two-year contract, while a midfielder has moved in search of more playing time. Another forward, who left Aston Villa earlier in the summer, is also included among the latest changes.
A German player has secured the chance to compete abroad, fulfilling a stated ambition to take her career outside Germany. Elsewhere, a midfielder is currently representing France at the Under-20 World Cup.
New arrivals and familiar destinations
Several players outlined their ambitions and playing styles after completing moves. One newcomer said: “Everyone has been so welcoming so far and I'm excited to just immerse myself in this club and in this community.” Another player was described as having a defensive approach to midfield.
The roundup also includes a move that marks a midfielder’s first experience of European football. Another midfielder brings extensive experience from Europe as well as a spell competing in the United States’ National Women’s Soccer League.
A goalkeeper described herself as “a calm goalkeeper who likes to play with my feet, be involved in the build-up play, and always be a passing option for my teammates”. A 25-year-old player set out an ambitious target, saying: “The goal is to win everything we possibly can.”
Retirement and contract change
The transfer activity is accompanied by a retirement: a 30-year-old player has ended her career after two decades in football. Reflecting on her journey, the forward said: “I never thought I would be [playing football] for this long and still doing the thing I love doing, so I'm always proud of how far I've come.”
The roundup further records a mutually agreed contract termination involving a midfielder and notes that another forward has gained valuable experience with Paris Saint-Germain.
