Flick singles out defender after Barcelona’s 3-0 win

Hansi Flick has called for greater recognition of Gerard Martín after Barcelona beat Getafe 3-0 at the Spotify Camp Nou.

Barcelona’s attacking players drew attention during the victory, but the head coach chose to highlight Martín’s work in defence. The versatile defender made his 100th appearance for the club in the match, according to the report.

“I think Gerard Martín doesn’t get the appreciation he deserves,” Flick told the media after the final whistle.

The result continued Barcelona’s flawless start to the campaign, the source said.
