Ferrari unveil blueprint-inspired special livery for Austin United States Grand Prix

Ferrari put engineering on display with Austin special livery

Ferrari have become the latest Formula 1 team to unveil a special livery for the United States Grand Prix, with a unique blueprint-inspired design set to adorn both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton's SF-26 cars at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin.

Developed in close collaboration with title partner HP, the livery incorporates sketches, technical drawings and blueprint-inspired graphics in a visual tribute to the designers, engineers and technicians who put a Formula 1 car together.

According to Ferrari, the Austin design “puts the development process itself at centre stage celebrating the work that takes place long before a car reached the circuit.”

The livery project involved close collaboration between Ferrari and HP specialists, with multiple rounds of testing and refinement ensuring the graphics that will adorn the cars this weekend could be accurately reproduced. HP Latex technology was used to reproduce the blueprint-inspired graphics, continuing the work Ferrari and HP have pursued on previous special liveries.

“The livery celebrates the journey from idea to reality,” said Silvia Cavallaro, Head of Color and Trim at Ferrari. “Every Ferrari starts with creativity, sketches and engineering expertise long before the car reaches the track.

“Thanks to our collaboration with HP, we were able to bring that process to life visually and tell a story that reveals the craftsmanship and innovation behind the performance.”

Ferrari are not the only team running a one-off design this weekend. Mercedes unveiled a blue-accented one-off livery for the 2026 United States Grand Prix on October 21, highlighting the Mercedes-Benz MANUFAKTUR vehicle-customisation programme, with drivers Kimi Antonelli and George Russell also set to wear matching race suits.
