Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez has singled out academy prospects Orian Goren and Ebrima Tunkara as the two young players who have impressed him the most during the club's pre-season preparations under Hansi Flick.

With several senior first-team regulars returning late following their international commitments at the World Cup, Flick has relied heavily on La Masia youth players to fill out the senior training sessions. Having missed the tournament due to injury, Fermin has been involved from the start of pre-season, allowing him a close-up look at the next wave of talent emerging through the ranks.

Speaking to Catalan outlet Ara, Fermin praised the continuous conveyor belt of talent at the club's famed academy before highlighting two specific names.

“They are all very good. The work done at La Masia is very good,” Fermin said. “If I had to choose two, I would tell you Orian Goren and Ebrima Tunkara. I had practically not seen them play, but they are very good and have a very high level.”

Tunkara is widely regarded as one of Barcelona's most promising prospects for the coming years, with the club hopeful he can eventually make the step up to the first-team squad. Goren has also captured Flick's attention in early sessions, and the German manager is expected to monitor his development closely with Barca Atletic over the course of the campaign.
