Ugo Ugochukwu becomes first American F3 champion since 2010
Ugochukwu seals the 2026 title in Madrid
One person who can so far count their stretch between titles in DAYS is American Formula 3 driver Ugo Ugochukwu, who sealed the 2026 F3 crown in Madrid on Sunday.
Congratulations to Ugochukwu, who is the first American champion since the category was created to sit on the F1 support bill in 2010, when it was called GP3. Previous winners include Valtteri Bottas, Esteban Ocon, Leclerc, George Russell, Oscar Piastri and Gabriel Bortoleto — fine company indeed!
His triumph offered a rare note of a title counted in days on a Madrid bill otherwise defined by far longer droughts elsewhere on the grid.
