"With the final round of the 2026 County Championship season almost upon us, it is time to pick your best XI from this summer," the BBC says.

Voters must choose:

• First opener
• Second opener
• Number three batter
• Number four batter
• Number five batter
• Wicketkeeper
• First all-rounder
• Second all-rounder
• First pace bowler
• Second pace bowler
• Spinner

The broadcaster notes: "You must select two openers, three middle-order batters, one wicketkeeper, two all-rounders, two pace bowlers and a spinner. Who makes the cut from the players listed below? Have we missed anyone out? Let us know in the comments section."

Submissions are open until Monday, 28 September at 12:00 BST, with the most popular XI to be revealed next week. The BBC adds that "the number of runs/wickets for each player was taken after the last round of fixtures".
