Arsenal tie down USA international Emily Fox with new contract
Emily Fox commits her future to Arsenal
Arsenal have secured the future of USA international defender Emily Fox, who has signed a new contract with the Women’s Super League club.

Fox joined Arsenal from North Carolina Courage in January 2024 and has made 93 appearances, scoring three goals. She was also nominated for the Ballon d’Or in 2025 and is closing in on a century of appearances for the club.
“It was easy - I love the club,” Fox said in an exclusive interview with Sky Sports. “I’m being challenged in a competitive environment and it’s my second home. A very easy decision to want to stay.”
“Always hungry as a player”
The 28-year-old said Arsenal’s demanding environment continues to drive her development, with the defender determined to keep improving alongside some of the world’s best players.
“I’ve got a mindset to get better and more to prove. I’m always hungry as a player and leaning towards perfection,” Fox said. “When I’m playing with the best players in the world, there are so many things I can learn.”
She added that she wanted to become more consistent and continue challenging herself at Arsenal, where she values the daily standards set by the squad.
A dependable presence at full-back
Fox has become a reliable contributor at both ends of the pitch since arriving in north London. Her pace and intelligence allow her to contribute in attack, while her defensive discipline has made her a trusted figure in the back line.
Sky Sports described Fox as “the perfect blend of modern and old-school full-back”, highlighting her ability to run the channels, offer an offensive threat and remain committed to her defensive duties. Her progressive passing and consistency in possession have further strengthened her importance to Arsenal.
With Arsenal seeking greater rhythm at the start of the season, Fox’s new deal keeps an established and dependable full-back at the heart of the team’s plans.
