Caicedo Commits Future to Chelsea with New Deal Until 2033

In a major boost for Chelsea, star midfielder Moises Caicedo has signed a new long-term contract extending his stay at Stamford Bridge until 2033. The deal, confirmed on Friday, adds two extra years to his initial eight-year contract signed upon his £115 million arrival from Brighton in August 2023.

Since joining the Blues, Caicedo has made 140 appearances across all competitions, contributing eight goals and 11 assists. His performances have been pivotal, helping Chelsea secure the Conference League and the Club World Cup. Now, with a renewed commitment, the 23-year-old aims to solidify his legacy at the west London club.

"I am so happy to have extended my contract at Chelsea," Caicedo said on the club's official website. "I believe in this team, this club, and I know we're going in the right direction. We've only just begun together. There is still a lot more to achieve, and I'm very hungry to keep improving every day. I want to win more trophies with Chelsea and give everything for this club and for the fans. We have enjoyed some great times together already, and my dream is to become a Chelsea legend, and I will work as hard as possible to make that happen."

Statistically, Caicedo remains one of Chelsea's most consistent performers. Among all outfield players, only Enzo Fernandez has logged more minutes since the start of the 2025 Club World Cup campaign. Caicedo leads the team in key defensive and build-up metrics, including total touches (3,589), passes attempted (2,963), tackles (135), successful tackles (73), and interceptions (70).

With Chelsea currently sitting sixth in the Premier League, four points behind fourth-placed Liverpool, the club is pushing hard for a Champions League qualification spot. Their next challenge comes on Saturday, as they face Manchester United in a crucial league fixture. Caicedo’s presence and leadership will be vital as Enzo Maresca and Liam Rosenior continue to shape the team’s identity.

This contract extension signals both player loyalty and club ambition, as Chelsea look to build a sustainable, winning foundation for the years to come.
