Juventus confirm Francisco Conceicao out until November with dislocated shoulder — no surgery needed

Juventus have officially confirmed that winger Francisco Conceicao will avoid surgery on the dislocated shoulder he suffered in Sunday evening's 3-0 Serie A defeat to Lazio at the Allianz Stadium.

Reports on Monday morning had suggested the Portugal international dislocated his shoulder during the loss to Lazio, and the club have now verified the injury in a statement on their official website. The setback compounds an already difficult spell for the Bianconeri, who were humiliated on home soil by the visitors.

Unlike Italy international Mohamed Ali Zoma, who requires an operation for a similar problem, Conceicao will instead undergo conservative treatment and rehabilitation.

“Following the injury to his left shoulder suffered against Lazio, Francisco Conceicao underwent diagnostic tests at JMedical this morning,” read the statement on the Juventus website. “The examinations showed a glenohumeral dislocation, which was amended yesterday evening. The player will undergo conservative therapy and has already begun the rehabilitation process.”

Italian media outlets report that Conceicao is expected to be ruled out until the November international break. That would see him miss Serie A fixtures against Lecce, Genoa, Napoli and Fiorentina, as well as Europa League ties with Rennes and AZ Alkmaar.

Conceicao had featured six times in Serie A this 2026-27 season, scoring once and providing one assist, according to a FotMob snapshot from 18 October.
