'It's a story that isn't over': Kolo Muani completes permanent Juve switch

Randal Kolo Muani is back in Turin for good, and the French striker has made it abundantly clear he never wanted to leave. The 27-year-old finalised a reported €38m permanent move from Paris Saint-Germain to Juventus last week, signing a five-year deal with the Bianconeri that could rise to €50m with a maximum of €12m in add-ons.

The former PSG forward first endeared himself to the Juventus faithful during the second half of the 2024-25 season, when he arrived on loan and immediately hit top form. In 22 appearances for Juve, Kolo Muani scored 10 goals and added three assists, more than any of his teammates both in terms of scoring and direct goal contributions.

Despite that success, he was subsequently loanted out to Tottenham for the 2025-26 campaign, where form deserted him amid a relegation battle in the Premier League. The striker managed just five goals in 41 appearances at Spurs, but he insists Juventus always felt like home.

“Finally, I’m relieved,” Kolo Muani told the club’s official media upon his return. “I’ve wanted to come back for a while, and this moment has arrived. It’s a story that isn’t over; I wanted to finish it.

“That’s why I did everything possible to try to return. We’re going to continue writing this beautiful story.”

Lofty numbers from his first stint in Turin

During his initial loan spell with Juventus, Kolo Muani ranked highest among all team-mates in goals (10) and direct goal contributions (13), while his 27.03% shot conversion rate was the best at the club. Only Khephren Thuram and Andrea Cambiso (both four) provided more assists.

Head coach Luciano Spalletti still has pre-season friendlies against Chelsea, Inter and Palermo to sharpen preparations before Juventus open their Serie A campaign away at Frosinone on August 23. Kolo Muani could make his second home debut six days later when Juve host Parma.
