Barcelona Secure Promising Young Talent in €8.5m Deal

Barcelona have officially completed the signing of 18-year-old Jesse Bisiwu from Club Brugge on a five-year contract, with the deal worth €8.5 million. The young midfielder finalized his move at the club's offices on Tuesday alongside president Joan Laporta.

Bisiwu Set to Develop at Barça Atlètic

The Belgian talent will begin the season with Barça Atlètic while working regularly with the first team group throughout the campaign. This structured approach allows Bisiwu to develop his skills while gaining exposure to the senior squad's training environment under manager Hansi Flick.

Speaking to the club's media after completing his signing, Bisiwu expressed his excitement about joining the Catalan giants and his determination to earn his place in the team.

"My first few days have been great. I've been welcomed by a wonderful family and I'm very grateful for that. They've welcomed me so warmly, everyone is so friendly, and I'm very thankful."

The 18-year-old continued: "Being here and seeing it for myself is a different feeling, I'm very happy to be here. When I was young I always dreamed of playing for a big club like Barça, so being here is a dream come true for me."

Ready to Work Under Flick

Bisiwu made it clear he understands the work required to establish himself at the highest level, praising the welcome he received from head coach Hansi Flick.

"Hansi has welcomed me very well, we've had a few talks and it's very easy to understand what I have to do this year: work very hard and learn as much as possible."

He added: "Everyone has been very attentive, and I'm very grateful. This season I will work hard and give my best, and we'll see how the season goes. I want to give my all for this badge. When the coach needs me, I'll be there; I just want to work hard to be ready."
