Michelle Akers and Megan Rapinoe cards headline $250-plus women's soccer memorabilia listings

Women's soccer memorabilia is commanding serious money on the secondary market, with a fresh batch of trading-card listings putting the game's pioneers and its modern stars side by side — all carrying asking prices of $250 or more.

Four single-copy listings currently make up the group, headlined by two cards featuring United States women's national team legend Michelle Akers and an autographed Megan Rapinoe card numbered to just three copies.

The listings at a glance

  • Janine Sonis, 2025 Parkside Pacific #CR-JS — an ungraded card carrying an NWSL game-worn logo patch and serial-numbered to 10 copies, listed at $299.99.
  • 1996 Women's Soccer multi-player card — featuring Michelle Akers, Briana Scurry, Joy Fawcett and Tisha Venturini and numbered out of six, listed at $300.
  • Megan Rapinoe, 2023-24 Panini Select FIFA Gold auto — an ungraded, autographed gold parallel of the United States star, numbered to three, listed at $280.
  • Michelle Akers signed 1998 Sports Illustrated for Kids card — graded and encased in a Beckett Authentication Services (BAS) slab, listed at $250.

Akers cards anchor the vintage end of the market

That two of the four listings center on Michelle Akers is fitting. The former USWNT star was the centerpiece of the United States' victory at the inaugural FIFA Women's World Cup in 1991 and was part of the squad that won gold at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics — the first Olympic women's soccer tournament — alongside goalkeeper Briana Scurry, defender Joy Fawcett and midfielder Tisha Venturini, the four players featured together on the 1996 multi-player card.

Her signed 1998 Sports Illustrated for Kids card, professionally graded and slabbed by Beckett Authentication Services, carries the lowest asking price of the group at $250.

The modern era, represented by Rapinoe and Sonis

Megan Rapinoe, who won World Cup titles in 2015 and 2019 and claimed the 2019 Ballon d'Or Féminin before retiring, features on a 2023-24 Panini Select FIFA gold autograph numbered to three copies and priced at $280.

The highest asking price in the group belongs to Janine Sonis, whose 2025 Parkside Pacific card includes a patch from an NWSL game-worn logo and is serial-numbered to 10. Parkside has become one of the go-to producers of licensed NWSL trading cards, and game-worn patch parallels are among the most sought-after pulls from its sets.

Note: all four items are listed as single copies available, and the figures above are asking prices rather than completed sales.
