Barcelona open talks with Borussia Dortmund over Héctor Fort transfer
Dortmund explore deal for Barcelona defender
Barcelona have opened discussions with Borussia Dortmund over a potential summer transfer for Héctor Fort, according to reports from Spain and Germany.
The 20-year-old right-back has returned to Barcelona after spending the 2025/26 season on loan at Elche, but his immediate future does not appear to be at the Catalan club. Reports indicate that Hansi Flick and his staff do not currently see Fort as part of their plans for the 2026/27 campaign.

German football reporter Florian Plettenberg, citing Matteo Moretto, reported that Borussia Dortmund are “exploring a deal” and have already held talks with Barcelona. Dortmund are understood to be fully informed about the details of a possible move for the versatile defender.
Fort has been with Barcelona since the 2013/14 season and made his first-team debut in 2023, but he has not established himself as a regular senior player. Barcelona are therefore considering a permanent sale as they look to reduce the squad before the transfer window closes.
Several Premier League clubs are also reportedly monitoring the defender. Barcelona are believed to be seeking at least €20 million for a summer transfer, although no agreement with Dortmund has been confirmed.
