'Reel ke chakkar mein thuk jaoge': Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's airport warning to paps goes viral
15-year-old's light-hearted jab at paparazzi becomes the internet's latest favourite clip
India's teenage cricket sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi had a witty message for photographers eager to film him at the airport, reminding them not to compromise their safety while chasing social media content. The 15-year-old arrived in New Delhi alongside the Indian contingent for a felicitation ceremony with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Surrounded by paparazzi, the young batter happily posed for photographs but also cautioned the photographers to remain aware of their surroundings. His humorous remark, “Reel ke chakkar mein thuk jaoge” (You’ll get hurt chasing reels), quickly caught the internet’s attention and went viral on social media.
The young batter has become a major sporting sensation, attracting considerable attention from fans and media wherever he goes. Although he remains approachable when asked for pictures or videos, his light-hearted warning highlighted the importance of prioritising safety over capturing content.
Sooryavanshi was in the national capital as part of India’s Asian Games 2026 contingent, which was set to be honoured by the Prime Minister at a ceremony celebrating the country’s achievements at the continental sporting event.
