PCB set to act as Mohammad Rizwan loses Lahore High Court plea in dressing-room leak probe

Pakistan's dressing-room leak scandal has taken a decisive legal turn, with wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan losing his challenge in the Lahore High Court against a summons issued by the country's cybercrime agency.

Rizwan had moved the high court as the PCB's investigation into a string of damaging leaks from within the national dressing room widened, deepening a crisis that has engulfed Pakistan cricket in recent weeks. With his plea dismissed, the board is now expected to take action against the cricketers caught up in the affair.

The probe itself, however, has so far produced little in the way of hard evidence. No significant material was recovered from the phones of Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq during the investigation, though officials insist the process is still ongoing and that the players have not been cleared.

Rizwan, who has largely kept his counsel through the saga, finally broke his silence to insist he has nothing to hide.

"I am fully cooperating," Rizwan said of the cybercrime agency probe.

The fallout now threatens to reach well beyond the dressing room. PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi is reported to be readying drastic steps, with the positions of key team officials — including Aaqib Javed and Wahab Riaz — said to be under serious threat as the board looks to draw a line under one of the most damaging episodes of its recent history.
