IPL chairman Arun Dhumal has confirmed the league is pushing to bring the 2027 player auction back to India, restoring the marquee event to home soil after it has been staged abroad in recent years.

The BCCI has also mapped out the next chapter of the Women's Premier League, announcing the WPL 2027 auction date alongside the retention deadline and the full season schedule.

Away from the boardroom, Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka has finally broken his silence on Rishabh Pant's shock exit from the franchise, addressing the storm of commentary that followed the star wicketkeeper-batter's departure.

"People said a lot of things," Goenka said.
