Singapore Grand Prix forecast: hot, humid Sprint weekend with 40% rain threat
Marina Bay set for heat, humidity and a shower threat
The final part of Formula 1's triple header arrives in Singapore this weekend, with drivers bracing for a hot and humid test around the demanding Marina Bay Street Circuit. Round 17 of the 2026 season could produce more extreme track temperatures following those experienced at Sepang last weekend, while the possibility of showers across the event adds a further complication for teams.

The 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix, staged at Malaysia's Sepang International Circuit on September 30, 2026, already delivered punishing conditions with track temperatures approaching 54°C and a 50% chance of Friday showers. Singapore is expected to push those numbers higher still, and with this a Sprint weekend, tyre management becomes an even sharper concern after heavy degradation was seen in Malaysia.

Saturday, October 10 – The Sprint and Qualifying
Saturday brings warm and humid conditions again, peaking at 33°C and dropping to a minimum of 26°C, with a heat index of at least 36–38°C underlining the muggy atmosphere. Track temperatures may soar to around 55°C, potentially influencing tyre performance during the Sprint before cooling for Qualifying.
