Barcelona abandon Serhou Guirassy move after Dortmund striker’s €10m wages emerge
Barcelona baulk at Guirassy’s salary demands
Barcelona have reportedly decided against pursuing Borussia Dortmund forward Serhou Guirassy after making an enquiry about the striker as they search for a new No. 9.
According to Bild, Barcelona were interested in the 30-year-old but ended their consideration after learning that Guirassy earns approximately €10 million per year at Dortmund. The salary figure proved too high for the Catalan club.

Julian Alvarez remains Barcelona’s priority
Guirassy is one of several forwards linked with Barcelona following the departures of Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres. Julian Alvarez remains the club’s leading target, but Atletico Madrid are not keen to sell, leaving Barcelona facing a difficult search for an alternative.
Recent reports have also connected Barcelona with Lautaro Martinez and Nicolò Tresoldi. With just over a week remaining before the transfer window closes until January, the club must decide whether to continue pursuing its preferred option or move for another attacker.
