India A is set to tour Sri Lanka for a crucial red-ball series, with wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel named as the captain for the two multi-day matches. The selection committee, headed by Ajit Agarkar, announced the squad on Saturday, featuring a blend of experienced domestic performers and exciting new talent.

The tour is scheduled to run from June 25 to July 5 in Galle, with the matches expected to present challenging spin-friendly conditions - a key test for India's emerging red-ball talent.

Auqib Nabi Earns Maiden India A Call-Up

One of the major talking points of the squad announcement is the maiden India A call-up for Jammu & Kashmir fast-bowling all-rounder Auqib Nabi. The 24-year-old has been rewarded after a breakthrough Ranji Trophy season where he picked up 60 wickets and played a pivotal role in Jammu and Kashmir's historic title win.
