Tudor Urges Tottenham to Avoid Excuses in Relegation Battle

Tudor Emphasizes No Excuses for Tottenham

Igor Tudor, the newly appointed interim head coach of Tottenham, has taken over a team embroiled in a relegation battle in the Premier League. Tudor stressed that there's no room for excuses as the team navigates this challenging period.

Tudor was appointed last week following the dismissal of Thomas Frank after an eight-match winless run. Frank left with the lowest points-per-game record among Tottenham bosses in the Premier League. The team's poor performance has also led to fan protests against the ENIC Group's ownership.

Tudor's first challenge is against Arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. He described Spurs' current situation as unacceptable and pledged to work towards an immediate improvement. 'The first priority is to give everything the team needs in these moments,' Tudor said. 'There is no time to find excuses.'

Tudor emphasized the need for the team to gain confidence and courage and to perform concretely on the pitch. He acknowledged the difficulty of the situation but stressed that each player must give something extra.

Tudor's Approach

When asked about his team's playing style, Tudor expressed his preference for positive, attacking football. However, he noted that the team's extensive injury list might necessitate a more adaptable approach. 'I like to be positive. I like to play offensive football,' Tudor said. 'The situation is not easy because we have a lot of injured players, so we need first to find the best system that suits the players that are available.'

Tottenham has lost their last three Premier League home games against Arsenal, a streak that hasn't been seen since the 1950s. Tudor faces the task of breaking this trend and turning the team's season around.
